Janey’s Dream
A modern bedtime story series about how young children experience choice, comfort, and confidence.
About the Series
Janey’s Dream is a children’s bedtime story series centered on a simple but often overlooked idea: young children experience decision-making long before they can explain it in words.
Each story follows Janey as she falls asleep, enters a gentle dream-world guided by her own instincts, and wakes up feeling calm, confident, and ready for the day ahead. The stories are intentionally quiet, emotionally grounded, and designed to be read at bedtime—where reassurance, not stimulation, matters most.
Rather than teaching lessons overtly, Janey’s Dream allows children to feel what it’s like to make a choice and be at ease with it. The result is a reading experience that resonates with children while quietly supporting parents, caregivers, and educators who value emotional development without pressure or performance.
About the Creator
Jeremy Cohen is the creator and author of Janey’s Dream.
The series began as a deeply personal project—stories created for his daughter at bedtime—but grew into a broader exploration of how children experience confidence, comfort, and self-trust in moments of choice. Cohen approaches children’s storytelling with the same intentionality typically reserved for adult literary and design work: clarity of purpose, emotional restraint, and respect for the reader.
While developing Janey’s Dream, Cohen explored a new kind of authorship—using AI as a creative tool and production partner, while maintaining full human direction over story, tone, character, and meaning. The result is not automation, but amplification: a way to translate a specific emotional vision into finished books through iteration, reflection, and careful control.
Janey’s Dream reflects a modern creative process rooted in human insight, supported by technology, and guided by lived experience.
A New Kind of Bedtime Brand
Janey’s Dream is not positioned as a single book, but as a bedtime experience.
The series is designed around a familiar and comforting rhythm:
- settling down,
- entering a safe imaginative space,
- and waking up with a sense of quiet success.
Parents often describe bedtime as one of the most emotionally charged parts of the day. Janey’s Dream meets that moment with calm, consistency, and respect for a child’s inner world—making it as meaningful for adults as it is soothing for children.
